I recognised you from the back of your head.

This evening I met the delightfully fantastic and more than terrific long time F-lister starsnsammiches for afternoon drinkies in the delightfully weird city of Doncaster.

Who brought me bread and delightful conversations of all topics. A damn fine long over due time was had. 😀

Happy LJday

Today marks the 4th anniversary of my first LJ post. I have been going through old posts recently attempting to tidy them up and tag them. In those 4 years there have been a lot of polls and a lot of changes, I’ve changed jobs, gone to Uni, moved from one side of the country to another, seen friends come and go, I’ve put up with idiots and even been on some world tours.

What sticks in my mind however is all the wonderful people I’ve met online and then later in real life. Believe me, without LJ I certainly wouldn’t be doing what I’m trying to do now and no doubt I’d be in some mental hospital or nut house. To all the people I’ve met in RL through LJ (zoefruitcake, cujosmurf, louenn, synchronar, billzy, storm1jet2, stephmog, poggs ), those I already knew in RL that became drawn into or already had an LJ (jimrock, rockpile_99), those I’ve known through LJ who have stuck with me through thick and thin (celticblissy, starsnsammiches, fj_warren and dan4th) and those I am yet to meet someday (ie everyone else (we really need to get our acts together and do some sort of meet up thingie) ; Thank you for being part of my life over the past 4 years. Without you my LJ experience certainly wouldn’t have been the same. Ace just isn’t a powerful enough word to describe how you all are.

Here’s to at least another 4 years of this bollocks eh?

One of my on-going projects is the tagging of past LJ entries. This morning I mined these two classics from way back when.

Paranoia – http://stegzy.livejournal.com/237973.html

Antisocial behaviour – http://stegzy.livejournal.com/254642.html

Ah, such innocent times. Though looking back has reminded me that for some reason or other the intention to move to Yorkshire had lurked, almost unnoticed. Hmmmm

Edited to add – My dinner last night consisted of

Cumberland Sausage and mash with cabbage

Home made onion gravy.

Dust everywhere. Cant get over the dust. EVERYWHERE!! Think I’m gonna need to throw a dusting party or something.

Hopefully it will all be over at the end of the week. Kitchen people are coming on Wednesday and the plasterer some time during the week and boy has he got his work cut out for him! Hooo! Glad I’m not doing it!

So following Fridays news of goutiness I wanted to go out and get absolutely leathered. Of course this didn’t happen. Spent a quiet Saturday evening round at Scott & Laura’s new pad. Their flat is like our old house only on one floor. Barratt designed houses all appear similar. Nice place though with views of a Building Training yard and Wakefield.

Sunday was an experiment in dust (have I mentioned that it was dusty?) and was rounded off with two episodes of Lost courtesy of Lindsey’s Sky Plus. I’ll be buggered if I’m paying twice for the privilege. Pay enough with bloody TV licence without paying again to see a load of repeats! Though I do like the PVRs, they are fairly sexy.

The clock is ticking for my annual appearance at St Mary’s of Blackheath Christmas Carol Service (10th December, Blackheath London…normally about 5pm. Check church for details)

In other news….welcome to Livejournal the lovely deranged86 , I’m hoping its the person I think it is anyway but she’s new to LJ.

Anyone wanna buy some dust?

So, I went to the Brewery Tap in Wakefield today to meet aladdin_sane.

This is he

Anyway, I think the beer must have been really strong because can I only remember the first pint. The next thing I remember was waking up in Ackworth with a sore bum and a really bad headache….weird that….
